Basic Information

Identification

Employee ID

Enter up to a 20-character, uppercase alphanumeric employee ID. Each ID must be unique.  This ID will be displayed in the record description if the employee ID has been configured to be displayed in the General Configuration screen.

Active

Select this check box if the employee is active in the system. The default value is checked.

Last Name

Enter up to 30 characters for the last name.

First Name

Enter up to 30 characters for the first name.

Middle Initial

Enter the employee's middle initial.

Government ID

Enter up to a 20-character, uppercase alphanumeric government ID.  This is the employee's initial password.

The employee must enter the initial password exactly as you enter it here.  For example, if you use dashes in the Government ID, the employee must enter them as well.

Vendor ID

Enter a 12-character, alphanumeric vendor ID.

Login ID

Enter up to a 20-character, alphanumeric ID that will be used as the employee's login ID for Deltek Time. Unless specified otherwise, the Import Console process (in the Interfaces menu) will default this value to the employee ID value being imported.

LDAP ID

Enter the login ID to be used to authenticate the user when LDAP is configured for your domain. Please see the "Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)" section of the your Deltek Time & Expense with ESS Installation Guide for more information.

The Login ID will be used for LDAP authentication if the LDAP ID is blank.

Hire Date

Use the Calendar Lookup to the right of the field to select the hire date of the employee.

Termination Date

Use the Calendar Lookup to the right of the field to select the termination date of the employee.

Payroll

Payroll ID

Enter up to a 20-character, alphanumeric ID that will be used for the Payroll interface.

Payroll Employee ID

Enter up to a 20-character, alphanumeric employee ID that will be used for the Payroll interface

Access

This table will list the system or modules that are accessible to the employee.

Module

The systems that display depend on your licensing. These modules may include the following:

Deactivate Date

To deactivate the employee from a module, select the deactivation date from the Calendar Lookup to the right of the field.

Access

Select the type of module access you want the employee to have.  The available options are "No Access," "Seat," and " Trans."  Please review the "Licensing" section in the Deltek Time Collection Getting Started Guide for more details. Note that if you are licensed for the Mobile Time module, you need only select the check box that appears in Access column to grant the employee access.

Reset Password

Selecting this push button to reset the employee's password to the value in the Government ID field.

If your company is using LDAP security, this button will be disabled.  Please review the "Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)" section of your Deltek Time & Expense with ESS Installation Guide for more details.
